Who We Are: Yes for Wenatchee Schools

The Voice of the Community: Supporting Our Students’ Future

Our Identity

We are Yes for Wenatchee Schools, a volunteer Political Action Committee (PAC) formed by local parents, alumni, business leaders, and community members. We are NOT the Wenatchee School District. We use private funds and volunteer time to advocate for the best facilities for our students.

What We’re Doing Now

Our purpose in this pre-campaign phase is to:

  • Listen: Gather feedback on community willingness to support a Capital Bond addressing critical facility needs, including WHS utilization (104%) and aging mechanical systems.
  • Inform: Share objective facts about the facility study and the financial reality: the proposed $295 Million Bond leverages up to $79 Million in State Matching Funds (SCAP).
  • Organize: Build a team of dedicated volunteers to prepare for the upcoming election date and ensure timely action to mitigate escalating construction costs.

Why Your Involvement Matters

A bond is a massive investment and requires a 60% supermajority. This level of support can only happen when thousands of neighbors talk to neighbors. We need you to help lay the foundation for a successful vote for the construction of a new WHS, which was rated “Poor” in physical condition (score of 49.65), and district-wide HVAC upgrades to address failing and outdated systems.
